Mississippi loves GOP

Last Tuesday we voted in Mississippi to elect actual in name and action members of the GOP to control the state. In the past we elected DINOs (Dem in name only). Why do we, financially disadvantage people, vote GOP? Are we too poor to dare ask for more than $7.45/hr? Are we poor to dare say what another mouth to feed means for our household. Are we too poor to have the ear of God? Are we too poor to afford food at the supermarket which necessitate the stockpiling of guns to feed our families? Why are we voting GOP in Mississippi? I am not against GOP just what these members of the GOP plan for our state. Say a little prayer.

New century no time for old games

As I prepared to write my comments on the Marcus Smart/Jeff Orr incident, I noticed a grown-ass man push a chair in the path of two running children at McDs.  I moved the chair and informed the man I was helping him by preventing the children from tripping.  I informed him that if the children tripped he and I would have an altercation.  He had not one word to say to me.  Punk assed grown assed men don't fuck with grown-ups only those they consider weak.  These people are the ones who will take pics of their gun collections to post on FB or Twitter.  These are the ones who will heckle college kids with racial slurs, "go back to Africa", or "Where is your green card."  As a mother, I can only hope my example of not being a punk has become embedded in my kids.  Real strength comes from knowing who you are and not seeking to belittle others.  My thoughts on Marcus Smart and Jeff Orr are simple. The words we use

Someone in the media is in hot water for calling the president a dick. In all fairness I have said worse about Dick Cheney and George Bush. Well Cheney. I do not think anyone should be in trouble for call president a dick. However I have yet to see President Obama do anything that warrants my calling him anything other than Mr. President. He has not started any unwarranted wars. He has not fought to keep the American people in financial bondage. He has worked to change the tax code to keep the American economy viable. Why would anyone call Obama a dick is beyond me. IMHO we have had people in power who were true dicks.
