A Liberal In The Midst

Speaking  with  a friend  offline  a question  came to mind while is Keith  Ellison raising  money  for  his DNC Chair  run?  We've  yet to understand  his willingness  to  step down from his seat in the House  to be chair. However, we are  most confused  in regards to  his need for cash.   The DNC  Chair's race is not a 50 state campaign. Only members  of the DNC  will vote.  The DNC chair  would  need to be known  to the voting  members .  There is no need for any  advertising.  Why does he need money?  To my knowledge, none of the  others  running  for chair are asking  for  money.  Something  is wrong  with  Ellison ' s run for chair. 

Background  :  You travel  to a cliff  with a trusted friend.  Your friend  is a mountaineer.  You , not so much.  Your friend  wishes  for you to try base jumping  but you don't  see the  purpose.  As you approach  the cliff after a long hike through the dense forest  and snakes .  You stand  on the cliff giving  thanks for the beauty  before  you.  You look to your  right and see another mountain  to climb .You think  to yourself  I shall be ready.  You then turn  to the  beauty  before  you.  In the peace of the beauty you reflect  on  the  climb for this view.  You think what from this climb  do you take  on the next  climb.  Just as you get deep  into thought your friend  pushes  you over the cliff.   You have  nothing  required  for base jumpin...

Rise UP Andra Day plays in the background as I write this piece.   I like, many in USA, am not really feeling Christmas or Holidays this year.   In part because of seeing how easily others in USA were duped into turning our nation over to Russia. The other part is seeing no action from those elected to prevent the turning over of our nation to Russia do nothing beyond kissing the ring of Putin’s puppet.   Joy to the world but there is sadness for me. Sadness in knowing I must now don the clothing of a fighter when I am really a lover.   Knowing dress rehearsal was never called but to the stage we all must come.   Failure to appear means the curtains may fall on this great experiment of democracy we call USA.   We failed to have a dress rehearsal due to the many re-write requests from the background actors.   “No, I must shine.”   “No, I must shine.” “No, I must shine.” Ignoring the fact they are background for a reason.
