Reading of a piece of paper

Today I was able to see the change in D.C. the GOP would bring to the House. Instead of the normal round of politics filled with smoke and mirrors we were treated to an all out dog and pony show. Where I a member of the Tea Party, I would have been highly perturbed with the wink and nod given to the Constitution today. However, I am a member of the, “I will believe it when I see it party” and gave the reading of the Constitution on the floor of the House today a hmph. I also rolled my eyes toward the ceiling. What we have in D.C. is another group of people elected who still do not get what is required of them. Those who came to D.C. knowing what is required of them from those who voted for them are being hit with a hard reality; they alone will not change D.C. The first sign of something being amiss was the fact that Speaker Boehner was holding a news conference during the reading of the Constitution on the floor. WTL!?!?! If reading the Constitution was of such great importanc...

Late night Taco Bell

I am up after a minor battle with Taco H!?! early today. The Bell got me to thinking about something after reading a few articles sent to me by a buddy. Combined with the mass of nothing spoken in chambers today in DC, bad food, and the Limbaughs being out to destroy President Obama I figured out we need help. I can not believe there is a group of people in this country against the new bill for food safety. After a productive morning, I spent the afternoon on my back because of improperly handled food. Am I alone in not understanding the fight against the need to enforce food safety? We need help. One of the articles sent to me by a buddy mentioned the evils of the EPA. This article called for a stop to be placed on the EPA's job killing actions. What good is a job when one does not have good health. Better yet is stopping the work of the EPA worth allowing corporations the freedom to pollute our nation at will? I loved Atlanta but the pollution in the city was killing my chil...

Why they are dying

I was hoping to keep the recent suicides of the fish and birds quiet for fear of black helicopters arriving at my door. I was hoping someone else would speak up saving me the hassle of being forced to out my sources. You see, I talk with the animals. They are fearful of the Tea Party agenda: destroy any measure approved by President Obama. The animals see the Tea Party creating fear in normally sound minded Democrats who will bend to their will without a fight. The birds are spreading the whispers of moderate Republicans erecting shrines for the Tea Party within chambers on which they place their re-election hopes. A sense of doom was built within the animals after each power flexing and rhetoric filled speech of Boehner. Until the people of this great nation rise up and tell the corporate owned elected officials to return the government to the people, more animals’ suicides should be expected. They see the control of the House by the Tea Party agenda, “drill baby drill”, as a d...

I give up

I did my best to not say anything about the mess in DC today. However, I see we are off to a crazy start. Who in his/her right mind repeal healthcare without having something better in place? Twitter was fast moving today as the insane move for power played out in our nations's capitol. I felt so alone in a sea of intelligence. I would hear the occasional voices of others in the sea with me ( Moveon, Thinkprogressive, Donna Brazile and a few others) Something is amiss in DC when those who speak of job killing seek to kill access to healthcare by those without jobs. My head hurts. I can only do so much stupidity per day; doctor's orders. God bless this nation as we work with congressional rules designed to slow the passage and creation if legislation. God bless us as the powers that be seek to circumvent the balance of powers written into our constitution. God bless Congress the ability to read the constitution in bed tonight thereby saving precious work time in the House...

Under Funding Healthcare I

I have been spending a little of my time when not ducking tornado activity reading the Affordable Care Act of 2010. Currently in my overview of the Act, I have not once seen anything about Obamacare. What I have seen were several amendments to and extensions of items in the current public health code. President Obama strikes me as many things but overtly self-serving or egotistical is not on that listing of things (naïve, too trusting, and too understanding top my listing). The healthcare reform which has many items that will benefit the American public as a whole was given a black face by being renamed Obamacare by the “liberal” media. This black face was designed to negatively impact the passage of the act by the lame brains in Congress and to create an uprising amongst the lame brains within our population. The lame brains who vote against their own best interests in favor of the interests of American corporations. These people will vote to save a foreign corporation before...

2011 Blessings

Before I launch into my rants against the inequality of this world, I shall take the time to give thanks my early blessings of 2011. Yesterday I had a moment of panic as the hail and thunder rocked my home during the storms. Today, I gave thanks that we survived the storms with only some property damage. The blessing of not a life lost last night in Mississippi can not be measured. All that can be done is to share the joy and the gospel of being alive today. The second blessing of the day came out of Jacksonville, FL. The Mississippi State Bulldogs won the Gator Bowl. They won by a huge lead leaving little doubt as to if they deserved the win. Today exemplified the blessings that are to come when hope and faith are maintained no matter what appears to the five senses. May everyone who reads this post find a blessing in his/her life. Joy to all in 2011. I shall rant and rave tomorrow. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Stormy Weather

I have a slight headache from my night last night. I was up until 2AM keeping the stress I felt from my face during yet another tornado in my county in Mississippi. All of that aside, I shall attempt to solider on with my take on storms, tax cuts, government officials being superheroes. Given that I am short, I shall keep this stuff short and sweet. The storm that hit NYC could have been handled more effectively had the city and the state not made budget cuts that reduced the experienced workforce of those who normally handle blizzards. The state and the city were force to make cuts because of the reduction in federal funds coming into the state. This event is an example of trickle down working in the lives of the American people. Something that I find to be humorous is Gov. Christie's application for federal funds to assist with clean-up. It is downright a slap in the face to unemployed, uninsured, poverty living Americans who bear the results of his rhetoric regarding enti...
