I am 1 of the 2 Million

I am wondering how to write my 40th-ish response on the Affordable Care Act.  Do I include links or just speak from my heart?  Given I have linked my blog in the past to a new level in regards to the ACA, I shall just speak from my heart.  I am tired of the Koch driven media campaign against the ACA.  Why is so much fake news being generated against an imperfect plan that is better than the for-profit system we had?  Who really wants to keep Americans tied down in medical debt?  Who benefits? I am not writing to answer any of those questions.  Hell, they have been answered several times over.  I am writing to address the bullshit that exploded after the CBO report.  I am one of the 2 million people who waited almost 4 years for one of the major parts of the ACA to kick in.  October 14, 2013 I was one happy person.  I knew my forced labor in exchange for affordable health insurance was at an end.  The timing came at a great ti...

The Crazy Continues in America

Excuse me if I go astray as I type this posting.  I have worked long hours and watched Scandal.  However, the real scandal is the one committed by the GOP.  Somehow between a desire to see President Obama fail and Koch brother money funding a misinformation campaign, the people in America believe getting cancellation notice of their junk policies is worse than slavery.  Hint: It is not.  Tonight as I attempting to catch-up on all I missed today, someone replied to me on Twitter about "Obamacare".  I stated the ACA was not actually President Obama's original plan.  This person insisted it was. I then asked the person what plan did she/he have to replace ACA.  Instead of responding the person insisted I was not sane.  I may not be but I do know if we don't have ACA we need something better than the for profit system we currently have.  I digress, my point this person only knows healthcare reform was done while a Black man was in of...

Walking on Water

I am attempting to remember when President Obama stated he walked on water.  I may have missed his saying those words.  However, I do tire of the narrative built by his detractors stating he should walk on water.  He is human; stop the crazy.   He can't plug an oil spill with his dick and although he is brilliant,  he is not a web developer.    Could the website have been better? Hell yes. Should we have used direct hire FTEs for this project?  Hell yes.  Can it be fixed before November 30th? Hell yes.  It is sad when left leaning media outlets take the Koch narratiive and run with it. There is a failure by the media to inform the public of a need for a change in our healthcare system.   It seems the media would rather take the cheap way out by reporting on a website's failure to launch than why the for profit system has failed American families. I write opinions not news.  Yet it seems I and others like me re...

Here we go AGAIN ????

It seems the GOP has taken the discontent with a website to mean it is time to repeal ACA again.   There seems to be a disconnect in GOP logic.  My discontent with GOP doesn't mean I dislike all Protestant heterosexual White males.  My discontent means I wish today's GOP were more the party of Lincoln than the party of dicks and assholes.   The only thing the party has done is to produce legislation to allow hazardous transportation of oil across our waterways and farmland.   It is time for mobilization to remove GOP from all levels of government.    As a whole they have done more to help multinational corporations than they have to help the American people.   These crazy attacks on the ACA show a concerning lack of concern for Americans.   The current for profit healthcare system bankrupts families.   Yet, GOP claim it is better than ACA which is worse than slavery.  People rise up stop this cr...

Games rich people play

I know I am not the only person forgoing SNL for C-SPAN tonight.  I watched to see if the rich people in the House of Representatives, on a government sponsored healthcare plan, would really vote for a bill crafted to end access to healthcare for many in the working classes.  The House GOP has spent so much Koch money to gin up support for the underfunding of the Affordable Healthcare Act I am jealous.  Jealous for that is money that could have been spent ginning support for our sub-par infrastructures in America.  However they have wasted time and money to defeat a law that has survived 40 something attempts of nullification.  Games rich people pay. I continue to think of a line from a Sheryl Crow song, "....I can't afford your gas....".  At the time of this writing, I have $28 dollars in my account and I drive 120 miles each day to work; do the math.  I can't afford this gas coming from DC to subsidize those whose money is longer than my own. ...

Manufacturer of fear

Recently there has been an all out campaign on Twitter to stop ACA.  However when questioned those opposed to ACA only mouth talking points from Fox or pretend to be most obtuse.  They even denounce the website healthcare gov.   Why hold on to fear? The $7500 increase has been debunked twice.  There is no " lie" by President Obama in regards to keeping current private insurance.   The government is not forcing anyone to join the exchange.  The President is not interfering with free enterprise by forcing providers to remain in business in states with exchanges.   If a company pulls out of a state that has an exchange it was choice of said company.   If a person is unable to acquire via the exchange comparable coverage then he or she has ground for legal recourse.   People get the facts.   Stop the spread of fear. If the world ends October 1st so be it.  Otherwise, I implore all to go to WWW.healthcare...
