Well, it seems I have hurt someone’s feelings.   My governor has blocked me on Twitter.   He said something about HB1425 and I did a quote of it.   My quote was something about one should check whatever my governor promotes.   I am thinking really?   He is really mad because I stated something about legislation?   Then I remembered I pasted his reaction to Jeff Sessions’ confirmation for AG every opportunity I could find to do so.   I mean seriously he is my governor and he is saying these things.   Also Mississippi has not exactly been making the best deals lately so yes I question legislation when he is pushing it.   We should always question legislation.   I use http://www.legislature.ms.gov/Pages/default.aspx to skim the bills. When I started this blog, I placed in the header "I shop at Wal-Mart" or something to that affect.  I also gave a clue to several other things in that header.  I do not blog to pacify people nor do I blog to offend without reason.  I find it amazing that Rush Limbaugh has been getting the love for 25 years although he spouts hate daily.  My blog purpose is an attempt to see if love flows the same when one does not spout hate while questioning the common ideals held by society.  Recent events on my TL on Twitter inspired me to drive into town to post to my blog.  I have been called a "boiler plate" liberal.  This "rage" was directed at me for my tweet that I shop at Wal-Mart .  Whoop the damn doo.  My initial response was "Pay my bills and give $10K a week to me and I will stop shopping at Wal-Mart".  It is time for a reality check.  I am an activist who enjoys taking care of her family.  At some point we need to ...

I wish I were writing this blog posting in great shock but alas I am not.  My governor, Phil Bryant, has done it again.  It seems he attacks women more than Paul does in the Bible.  His latest attack is nothing more than the vibrations of the GOP's far right wing's desires.  Translation of GOP's far right wing is not Tea Party, but scared white men.  Yes, yes she wrote it and meant it.  I am tired of these games with the lives of women in America.  We are not some third world nation.  If women in this nation are forced back into third class status, this nation will become third world.  A sure fire recipe for failure is to oppress women.  Best example would be the Middle East, the place where civilization was born (his-story).  My governor’s comments are in alignment with the legislation he has supported and pushed in the state of Mississippi.   I laughed at his attempts to claim he is not understood correctly.   We...

After many months of laws designed to obstruct voting and billions spent on maintaining a racist media narrative, President Obama is re-elected as president of the United States of America. The response from the state of Mississippi to this historic re-election: 400 students at Ole Miss hold a protest over the results of the election.   I had two thoughts: Thanks students at Ole Miss for enhancing the image of Mississippi in not only local and national news but in international news as well.   The GOP accomplished its goal to take back this nation.   We were taken back to a time before the 1960’s.   When will we get “it” in Mississippi? I was floored by the response of some Mississippians to the 47% video. I listened to people continue to point to social issues as reasons not to vote for President Obama or any Democrat. How is it possible for anyone unable to pay $50K a plate for a dinner to support Mitt Romney or the GOP? Romney’s statement about the 47% is not the only reason Mississippians should consider their votes this November 6. The RNC chair, after the emergence of the 47% video, stated Romney was not off target with the GOP platform. A review of the GOP’s platform, rhetoric, and actions show Romney was indeed on target. The GOP’s platform is a blue print for the continued redistribution of wealth. The social issues (abortion, gay marriage, and access to birth control) are nothing more than distractions from the true agenda to redistribute the wealth of the working class to those living off capital investments (e.g. Mitt Romney). I attended a Tea Party rally in Jackson, MS on the 7th of May. It was my first actually Tea Party rally. Some things in life demand alcohol sadly, I had none to go with the tea. I went with expectations of being presented with new solutions to the problems we are facing in Mississippi and America. What I got was nothing more than the same worn out talking points I have gotten in the MSM. I have a low tolerance for BS, mainly because I am so full of my own mess, and it was not long before I found myself responding out loud to the steady stream of BS coming over the PA. The rally started with the typical ritual of Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangled Banner. I was confused why the ritual was required.
