#stopblamingwhitewomenweneedunity or let's end all oppression

I had promised myself a week off work doing nothing but playing Runescape, drinking water, eating candy canes, and the only macro muscle movement involved elimination of waste.  Well, I failed.  I popped on Twitter to wish people well, as I twisted my hair, and saw this # stopblamingwhitewomenweneedunity .  I had to read the back story to understand what the hell happened.  As I write this posting this tag is getting roughly 30 hits a half hour.  It is not popping like #RacismEndedWhen but it is moving.  Here are my thoughts. The expansion of Western civilization did come at a heavy price.  The United States has an ugly history in regards to race relations. There is a huge disparity in sentencing in the United States. Women across the board do have it hard. When females fight each other nothing good happens for a nation or species. I write now to speak to the last.  It is time for unity amongst women.  We should unify to stop oppres...

To the victor go the spoils

Last night as I prepared to work on my blog update about the Royal Wedding, I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my son. In all things ADHD, I decided to write a quick blog about the nations of people of color and European wealth. Not really a far cry from my blog in the works about the Royal Wedding. At the start of the movie, it is mentioned how Willie Wonka desired to build the largest Chocolate Factory in the world. The location for this factory was some Euro-centric country. Well the obvious thing to me in my limited knowledge of world exports is coca beans do not grow in Europe. If Willie is building the world’s largest Chocolate factory he must be importing a great amount of beans from the nations where they grow. Instead of manufacturing and processing the chocolate in the countries where the beans are grown he brings the chocolate back to his country to create jobs in his home country. I am not opposing to creating jobs in one’s native country. I have as a ...

Worldwide people revolution

The basis of my blog is that I am a mad woman from Mississippi. Given that is my basis please do not allow this post to shock you. I am writing from a view of complete and disgust filled anger. My anger stems from the reactions in America to the revolution in Egypt from the Left and the Right political groups. I am so completely amazed that we in America continue to tout our superiority over the rest of the world when we know nothing about the people around the world. Pull any Egyptian or Iraqi off the street and he/she can tell you more about the American people than we can about either Egypt or Iraq. It is sad that we as Americans have continued to support despot leaders around the world out of fear that our country would fall if we actually supported the people of those countries. Yesterday, I watched U.S. leader after leader evade giving full support to the Egyptian people. I watched the television thinking WTL??!!!??? Sen. John McCain came out with a massive load of BS ab...
